The tall and gorgeous stunner played the younger love interest of Song Hye-kyo in 2021’s Now, We Are Breaking Up. Before this, he was cast as the mystical boyfriend in My Roommate Is a Gumiho. In 2019's Search: WWW, Jang played the younger boyfriend of the strong female lead. More notoriously, he had an unrequited — albeit violent — crush in 2018's My Mister, and played the tortured boyfriend trying to make it right in the same year's Come and Hug Me. It would seem that Jang has played every sort of boyfriend role there is, and we aren't complaining.

Who would've known that the next big name in k-drama would have come from a sleepy Ulsan town? The self-described "country boy" had simple dreams of visiting Seoul and maybe dabbling as a model. But at 21, his luck turned in his favor, with those long legs and sharp cheekbones bringing him the top prize of the 2014 Asian Model Awards. His transition to k-drama began when he briefly appeared in 2014's It's Okay, That's Love, and he created a bit of buzz despite having no lines. This then led to being cast in 2017's Go Back Couple. But it was not until his violent turn as an abusive loan shark in 2018's My Mister that proved that he was more than a pretty face, and since then, Jang has been enjoying a steady slew of more high-profile and more demanding roles.

Jang aims to straddle both modeling and acting worlds, doing his best during film shoots while promoting popular brands like Estee Lauder, Sprite, Guess, and Jill Stuart. So between being our K-drama Boyfriend and all the brands falling for him, he is certainly succeeding beyond his wildest childhood dreams.

After completing his military service in 2023, this budding oppa went back to the screen with the recently concluded Netflix series The Atypical Family.
