It’s only been a few years since Jeon Mi-do made her debut in a television drama leading role, but in that short time, the musical theater actress has endeared herself to audiences with her immense talent and adorable personality.

As brilliant neurosurgeon, compassionate mentor, dependable friend, and bass player Chae Song-hwa in Hospital Playlist, she showcased the skills she had honed for over 15 years as a stage actress, and came close to taking home the Best New Actress Award at the 2020 Baeksang Arts Awards.
In 2021, she won praise for her portrayal of the terminally-ill Jung Chan-young in the female friendship drama Thirty-Nine where she starred alongside Son Ye-jin and Kim Ji-hyun (D.P. 2).
It may surprise some that unlike her hopelessly tone-deaf Hospital Playlist character, Jeon Mi-do is an exceptionally talented singer. After making her theater debut in Mr. Mouse in 2006, she went on to play leading roles in such renowned musicals as Doctor Zhivago and Sweeney Todd, winning numerous awards along the way.
When she finally got the chance to use her true vocals for the Hospital Playlist OST, covering Shin Hyo-beom's hit 2006 song I Knew I Loved, the song peaked at number one on the Gaon Digital Chart, surprising no one (except the humble artist herself). As of this writing, the YouTube video has a whopping 24 million views!
She is rumored to join veteran actor Ji Sung in "Connection," a new thriller drama.
