It’s clear that Jung Eun-chae was blessed with both beauty and talent. Born in Busan, South Korea, Jung Sol-mi moved to London, England when she was 15. She first pursued commercial modeling where she made her mark and earned a CF “Model" of the Year” in the 2011 Asia Model Festival Awards. She opted for the stage name “Jung Eun-chae” because she didn’t want to be confused with already famous actress Park Sol-mi.
Not long after, she debuted in television dramas My Bittersweet Life (2011) and Dr. Frost (2014). Her work in film has seen her doing both popular epic films like The Fatal Encounter (2014) and The Great Battle (2018) as well as arthouse films like Hill of Freedom (2014) and Nobody’s Daughter Haewon (2013), for which she won several awards and a Baeksang Best New Actress nomination.
And if that wasn’t enough, she released her own album of indie-folk songs she composed herself in 2013.
Her latest projects include The Guest (2018), The King: Eternal Monarch (2020), Pachinko (2022), and Anna (2022). Eun-chae has certainly made a name for herself in the entertainment industry just by being her talented self.
