In an industry where there is an absurd standard for natural beauty, Park Min-young bravely declared that she has had plastic surgery. While this was met with some criticism at first, none of it could dim the star power of what would be one of Hallyu’s biggest stars. Most people welcome her frank admission, just as they welcome all the well-loved characters she’s played in her 16-year career.
Park Min-young debuted in 2006’s High Kick and got her big break in 2010’s historical gender-bender Sungkyunkwan Scandal. Since then, she has starred in several hits including Healer (2014), Queen for Seven Days (2017), and When the Weather Is Fine (2020). A bankable actress who famously has great chemistry with all her leading men, Park practically reigns as the queen of office rom-coms, having starred in What’s Wrong with Secretary Kim (2018), Her Private Life (2019), Forecasting Love and Weather (2022), and most recently Love in Contract (2022).

Healer (2014)
What do you get when you put together two ridiculously good looking people who are known to have chemistry with just about anyone?
Healer stars Park Min-young as a young reporter and Ji Chang-wook as a “night courier” who goes by the moniker “Healer.” Between the two of them there are enough sparks to light up the fireworks for new year.
Oh, and the mystery and action are pretty good, too.
Her Private Life (2019)
It’s super fun to see Park Min-young as a closeted fan of fictional character Cha Shi-an (Jung Jae-won). Clad in a black hat and carrying ultra expensive cameras, she maneuvers her way in and out of fan meets and airports to get the perfect paparazzi shot. But by day she is a respectable curator of an art gallery where she has to deal with temperamental artist Ryan Gold (Kim Jae-wook).
When the Weather Is Fine (2020)
When The Weather Is Fine is best experienced slowly, with a cup of coffee in one hand and your favorite book in the other. Based on a novel, the drama moves at a pace that is languid and atmospheric. Hae-won (Park Min-young) returns to her hometown of Bookhyun Village in Gangwon Province after a dissatisfying urban life only to cross paths with introverted bookshop owner Eun-seob (Seo Kang-joon). As both characters are weighed down by past family trauma, they rediscover what it means to open their hearts once again and see a future beyond their dark pasts. As with most small-town dramas, the show is peppered with interesting village characters that form members of the neighborhood book club, who share poetry that marks each episode’s theme.

What's Wrong with Secretary Kim (2018)
There probably isn’t a k-drama fan alive who hasn’t seen or heard of the hit What’s Wrong with Secretary Kim. Starring alongside heartthrob Park Seo-joon, Park Min-young plays an ultra-effective secretary to her eccentric boss. When she finally decides to quit, her boss realizes how much she means to him… professionally and maybe even romantically.
Forecasting Love and Weather (2022)
The drama explores what could happen when two very attractive and newly single people (Shin Ha-kyung, played by Park Min-young and Lee Si-woo, played by Song Kang) find themselves working in the same department in Korea Meteorological Administration.

Love in Contract (2022)
Choi Sang-eun is a single life helper who becomes contractually married to men who, for some reason or other, need a wife only for a short period of time. It’s a very lucrative career that allows her some corporate social responsibility as the men who hire are pressured by family or social circumstance to produce a wife.
Things get complicated, however, when she starts to have feelings for longtime client Jung Ji-ho (Go Kyung-pyo) and when she has a new contract with superstar Kang Hae-jin (Kim Jae-young).
