The biggest mistake you can make with Moon Ga-young is to judge her for her youth.

Born in Germany and moving to South Korea at the age of 10, she immediately started acting and has been in TV and film for 16 years. It would take her eight years of solid film and TV work before landing her first leading role in Mimi (2014).

Her breakout role, however, was in Tempted (2018), the South Korean adaptation of the French novel Les Liaisons Dangereuses. She followed in the footsteps of Glenn Close and Sarah Michelle Gellar who portrayed the ultra-cunning seductress, and thus proved to the world that she possesses the range and versatility of a seasoned actress.

Since then, she has nabbed starring roles in Welcome to Waikiki 2 (2019), where she showcased her comedy chops, Find Me in Your Memory (2020), where she displayed amazing chemistry (and that final kissing scene!) with her male lead, and the drama True Beauty where she shed her looks and challenged norms.

She reprised her Find Me In Your Memory role together with co-star Kim Dong-wook through a cameo appearance in Sh**ting Stars, and is starred in the tvN fantasy melodrama Link: Eat Love Kill.

Whether it be in rom-coms or thrillers, Moon Ga-young has more than proven that behind her youth is a seriously experienced thespian.
