Still drowning in November dramas? Don’t worry, k-dramaland is going a little easy on us fans this month with just a few new titles to ring the holidays in with. Though few in numbers, there’s plenty of thrills and excitement in store, what with Kang Full’s newest series, plus the much-anticipated second season of Squid Game coming out! Here are the last k-dramas to be released this 2024.
December 4: Light Shop
From the creator of this year’s Baeksang Daesang and Best Screenplay winner Moving comes a thrilling drama set in a dark and haunted universe. Based on a webtoon by Kang Full, this 8-episode series from Disney+ features Ju Ji-hoon as Won Young, the owner of a mysterious light shop in a dark alley, and a powerhouse cast that includes Park Bo-young, Seolhyun, Bae Sung-woo, Um Tae-goo, Lee Jung-eun, Kim Min-ha, Park Hyuk-kwon, Kim Dae-myung, and Shin Eun-soo.

December 5: Sorry Not Sorry
Jeon So-min stars in this realistic rom-com about Ji Song, a newly-single woman who takes on several part-time jobs in a new city to cover her enormous newly-wed home mortgage. Despite the devastation from her recent breakup and the difficulty of getting by, she still dreams of finding love. Sorry Not Sorry co-stars Gong Min-jung and Daniel Choi.

December 18: Who is She!
Ten years after the release of the box office hit movie Miss Granny comes a 12-episode remake of this beloved film. Kim Hae-sook stars as Oh Mal-soon, a 74-year old widow who mysteriously transforms into her 20-year old self, played by Jung Ji-so. Taking the name Oh Du-ri, she pursues her unfulfilled dream of becoming a singer and signs up as a trainee of Unis Entertainment, where she meets Daniel Han (Jung Jin Young).

December 21: Check in Hanyang
Set in Yongcheonru, the greatest inn in all of Joseon, this historical rom-com follows the lives and loves of four young interns who work there. Leading the cast are Bae In-hyuk as Lee Eun-ho, the crown prince in disguise, and Lee Ji-eun as Hong Deok-soo, an ambitious girl who has disguised herself as a man.

December 23: Namib
Go Hyun-jung stars as Kang Soo-hyun, a legendary idol starmaker who is suddenly ousted from her company. Vowing to succeed on her own, she sets her sights on Yoo Jin-woo (Ryeoun), a long-time trainee with talent but a lot of baggage. Yoon Sang-hyun co-stars as Kang Soo-hyun’s stay-at-home husband, a former music producer who cares for their hearing-impaired son.

December 26: Squid Game 2
Player 456 Seong Gi-hun (Lee Jung-jae) is back in the Squid Game, but this time, he is determined to bring an end to the deadly survival contest. While Wi Ha-joon and Lee Byung-hun reprise their roles as Hwang Jun-ho and the Front Man, respectively, they are joined by new cast members Kang Ha-neul, Im Si-wan, Park Jung-hoon, and Lee Jun-wook as players vying for the winner-take-all 45.6 billion won prize.
